Blog #9 (Character Comments)

(Comments on my blog in general)- I will be assuming the role of a character in a recent novel I have read in the dark realm series, his name is Drizzt.

(Tone:low, dark, creepy)
   Cole,
I really enjoy reading your blog posts about the heroes in your novels. I am glad that you have considered me a hero but I would disagree. What I did to my betraying city was not heroic, I believe anyone in my situation would have done the same, But I admit it did take alot of courage to overthrow my mom's throne. Your blog has been very inspirational and has shown me true qualitys of a hero and how I could improve on my journeys and quests, thank you and keep them coming.

In my book Pendragon Bobby dreams of being a normal kid, he just wants to be a teenager and do what teenagers do. But he is held back by halla, everything there ever was or will be, and protect it from Sainte Daine. I believe the person holding him back is Saite Daine because if he was not there causing havoc to the territories Bobby would not have to be there stopping him.
If I could speak with my character I would tell him to keep going and achieving his goal of defeating Sainte Daine, I would also tell him that if he gave up, his home and earth would be destroyed, it would all just disappear, and it would eventually end. I would tell him to stay strong and not to give up.

The hero in my book pendragon  is Bobby, he used to be an average boy who lived in the bronx. He is a hero because he has courage to leave his old life and start a new one to save the world, or worlds. he is also a hero because of the fact he is strong, he is strong because he fights evil quigs from the planet of Denduron. Another character in this book that is a hero is Courtney. She is bobby's best friend and also his girlfriend, she is a hero because she helps bobby on his quests and posses the quality of compassion.
"He traded any chance of returning to his old life in order to end the war and begin a new life on the tropical paradise of Ibara. That was okay by him. He was ready to make the beautiful island his new home. He wanted to rebuild the village of Rayne. He wanted to make new friends. Most of all, he wanted nothing more to do with protecting the territories of Halla from Saint Dane."(D.J MacHale 157)
This excerpt from my novel shows that bobby is refusing the call by giving up fighting against Sainte Daine, but he later on realizes his destiny and meets his mentor uncle Press.
