Blog#2 -McKonkey
five elements I like in my book are connections to real world events, lots of conflict, suspense, Interesting characters, and a large problem or issue. Connections to real world events is the most important element when I read a novel. My book is Night by Ellie Wiesel, its about a jewish boy trying to survive the holocaust. The holocaust was an event during and after world war 2, this books relations to the holocaust are very strong and accurate. "But we had reached a station. Those who were next to the windows told us its name: Auschwitz."(page 24) I know this is related to real world because Auschwitz was a well known concentration camp during the holocaust. 4.1 million jews died in auschwitz and only 61,000 survived, so reading about a young boy my age trying to survive this is very interesting to me.
