Two significant elements from my book pendragon is the element of setting and the element of an event. The element of setting plays a big role in this book as there are 10 different territories. Territories are the different "planets" that Bobby has to travel to. Each one has different aspects and characteristics about the setting that make them interesting. For example on the territory Cloral there is no land, it is all water, with colossal ships that hold farms and civilizations on them. These drastic changes in settings as Bobby travels makes the book very interesting. While Bobby travels to each of these places through the portals, he encounters very important events that change what happens in the future as he travels back in time. For example when Bobby travels to First earth he is put onto earth but in the year 1937, specifically around the time of the hindenburg disaster. Bobby almost prevented the Hindenburg crash; a prevention which would have caused the fall of all 3 Earth territories by having the Nazis discover the atomic bomb first and destroying New York, Washington and London.
