In Pendragon:The Merchant of Death by D.J Machale, Bobby makes a very regretable mistake. He crosses items from Second Earth into Denduron. This creates a ripple effect on the territory because it involves bringing technology that hasn't been discovered yet into the hands of the denduron civilization. When a small merchant gets his hands on a set of batteries that bobby had brought, he uses the battery acid with a clay like substance to make "tak", which is a substance that explodes on impact.

Bobby who is trying to save the territory by using these items, actually made it worse. The merchant sells the tak to one of the tribes. The tribe then goes to battle with the kingdom using the tak in hopes of a revolution because the kingdom treats the people very poorly. This huge battle kills many people  and ends in a massive explosion. This means Bobby must fix all of the damage that has occured as it is his fault. This mistake ended up in Saint Daine successfully sending the territory into chaos.

In conclusion, Bobby's inductive leap caused the territory to plummet into chaos. This is the part where bobby is beginning to take on his role of a traveller and learning from his mistakes. He takes the knowledge he has learned from his mistakes onto the next territory in his quest to defeat Sainte Dane and save the territories.
